Paper Abstract:
|
This paper is an overview of a project carried out by the Warsaw University of Technology, that aims to create a wiki
system allowing Internet users to collaboratively create information resources containing map data. The system described
is designed with the same principles as traditional wiki systems, that power for example Wikipedia Encyclopedia, but
instead of allowing various people to edit textual documents it allows to edit city maps and plans.
The paper describes briefly the history and principles of traditional wiki systems and presents an overview of the new
system, that is currently being developed. |
